Mulch & Beds in Tampa, FLFresh beds. Sharp lines.

Weeding, a crisp bed line, fresh mulch at the right depth and shaped shrubs, so the beds frame the house.

Beds that frame the house.

Mulch & Beds, done right.

Fresh beds change how the whole house looks from the curb.

We pull the weeds, cut a clean line along the bed edge and lay fresh mulch.

Shrubs get shaped so they frame the house instead of hiding it.

Want a different look for one tired corner or the whole front?

Ask us about pine straw. We pay close attention to detail on every bed, because the edges are what people notice.

What’s included

What you get every time.

Weeded beds, a sharp edge, fresh mulch at 2 to 3 inches and shrubs shaped.

  • Weeding the beds

Weeds pulled from the beds, the tree rings and around the shrubs, so the mulch goes down on clean ground.

  • A clean bed line

The bed edge cut back to a crisp line, curved or straight, where the lawn meets the mulch.

  • Fresh mulch, 2 to 3 inches deep

UF/IFAS Florida-Friendly Landscaping advises 2 to 3 inches. We spread it even and keep it off the trunks.

  • Pine straw, if you prefer it

Pine straw is another option for your beds. Ask us about it and tell us the look you want.

  • Tired beds brought back

Faded mulch, thin spots and weeds cleared out and redone, so old beds look fresh without a full redesign.

  • Shrub shaping

Shrubs and small hedges trimmed to a clean shape and kept off the walls and walks.

Why it matters in Tampa

Built for Tampa yards.

Mulch helps a bed, but only when it is laid right.

Florida-Friendly Landscaping, a UF/IFAS program, says to keep a 2 to 3 inch layer on plant beds.

It also says to leave at least 2 inches of space around tree trunks to prevent rot.

That is why we keep mulch back from the trunk instead of piling it against the bark.

The program does not recommend cypress mulch, which may not be harvested sustainably. It lists pine straw as an option.
