About Tampa.
Tampa is a city of very different yards. Seminole Heights and Hyde Park are known for early-1900s bungalows.
Further out, New Tampa and Tampa Palms are mostly 1990s to 2010s subdivisions. In between sit mid-century ranches.
And plenty of homes near Bayshore Boulevard and the Hillsborough River sit close to the water.
The local angle
Inside city limits, Tampa does not allow nitrogen or phosphorus lawn fertilizer from June 1 to September 30.
A Hillsborough County rule also keeps fertilizer 10 feet back from water and bans blowing clippings into the street.
Watering is down to one day a week under the current order, so a cut at the right height matters more than ever.

Do you work in every part of Tampa?

We work across the city, from South Tampa, Hyde Park and Seminole Heights to New Tampa and Tampa Palms.
Can you fertilize my Tampa lawn in the summer?
Not with nitrogen or phosphorus. The City of Tampa restricts those from June 1 to September 30.
We plan feeding around those dates and keep it 10 feet back from water.
My lawn looks dry on one watering day a week. Is that a problem?
Some browning is normal under the current order.
The City of Tampa says residents who follow the rules cannot be fined for dry-looking turf.
Mowing at the right height helps the grass ride it out.
